Thanks to each of you for your support through smiles, hugs, prayers and kind words. Our mission is to remind others to keep the youth uplifted as often as possible. Another mission of ours, is to make sure others know that God will help you through any and all situations. God's comfort comes to us through Scripture, prayer and certainly from the Ministry of awesome Preaching... however it also through the encouragement of others that we have received much comfort.  We are thankful and grateful for the comfort received by so many.

We're on a quest to keep Ricky's memory alive, responses are saved in a keepsake album.

Please sign & view our guestbook.

Ricky's Memory Lives On In Our Hearts Forever......

Richard Davis, Jr. was born on September 16, 1984 in Chicago, Illinois. He accepted Christ at age seven and was baptized at Monroe Baptist Church on May 23, 1993. He attended Lincoln Elementary in Bellwood, Laura Ward Elementary in Chicago and Rezin Orr High School in Chicago.

Richard, was lovingly called 'Lil Ricky'. A young man with a wonderful sense of humor and an absolute joy to be around. A gifted artist with a passion for race cars - he learned to drive at a very early age and was well known and respected as an up and coming driver in the drag racing arena. Ricky loved the Lord and was involved in the Youth Ministry, the College Ministry at Rock of Ages Baptist Church, as well as the Youth Group Tuesday night meetings at the Vision of Restoration. He was gifted in many areas, specifically - advanced mathematics.

Lil Ricky is remembered and loved by many-to name a few: His paternal grandfather of whom he was extremely close to, Rufus Davis, Sr.; his maternal grandmother, Minerva Vance; a step-grandmother, Helen Perkins Porter. Three younger brothers, Andre, Brian and Derrick; two younger sisters, Rickaye & Rickelle. Aunts and Uncles, Gloria, Kathy, Winston, Jerry, Don.; Rufus, Jr., Frank, Keith, Kent & Kevin.

Thoughts and prayers are consistently offered by my in-laws in Alabama & Atlanta: Gloria, Kynes(Barbara), Barbara, Diane, Verdelle, Vernessa, Johnny(Claire), Lora, Bernice & JoAnn(James)

Ricky has been greeted in Heaven by his maternal grandfather, Isaiah Vance; paternal grandmother; Marcella Davis; uncle Larry Davis and aunt Lynette Davis-Jenkins.

Ricky is remembered especially by his girlfriend Samantha Davis, cousin, Lil Larry, 'Lil Mike'(Michael Lofton, Jr.) & Carmen Cox.

Special thanks to Lisa Cox, Shirley Roberson, Connie Booker-Bourke, Malissa Wilcher, LaVerne Herron and Michael Lofton, Sr.

Sweetheart, knowing you are at peace with the Lord, working diligently as one of His smartest, loving & active Angels. We'll never allow your precious, fun loving, caring & most of all intelligent memory, to fade from our daily lives.

To My One & Only Precious & Blessed Child...Its hurts as I realize that I'm unable to hug you, to call you to ask about school, to hear you tell me of the excitement you experienced over the weekend, to get a laugh out of you. What a blessing to have developed a fun-loving Mother/Son relationship with such a Blessed young man. I am honored to be called your Mom. The Good Lord watched you and realized that your work down here was done here yet, He is continuously using the great legacy you left within the seventeen years you spent among us-to spread joy, tears, laughter & Love. May we all gain peace, harmony, wisdom & insight, in order to grasp a true understanding and compassion for the reason that God chose you to wear your 'Golden Crown' at such a precious time as this. Love, Mom

Ricky, you are forever in my heart. Miss you young man. Knowing you're busy taking care of Heavenly business, making others laugh, when they might otherwise be down. We'll continue to keep your precious, talented and fun memory alive. Love, Edward

*Let not your heart be troubled; if you believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. I will come again and receive you to myself: that where I am there you may be also." This is dedicated by Brenda, Lil Mike & Monica, in October 2001.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.  Psalm 23:6
